Perhaps it’s our average year-round temperature (83 degrees F) or our beautiful natural surroundings, but whatever the case may be, serious golfers have been attracted to Sarasota for well over 100 years. The Sarasota Herald Tribune recently published an article by Sarasota Historian Jeff LaHurd that offers a glimpse into our area’s Golf-filled history including the legacy of champion Bobby Jones.

Affixed to the front grill in large silver script was written ‘Sarasota.’”
