Lying just off shore downtown Sarasota at the western end of the Ringling Causeway (walking or running this bridge is a popular workout) is an upscale community known as Bird Key. It is a gated, residential boating community where nearly every home has water access with stunning close up views of Sarasota Bay, the city skyline or wide open canals. There is a beautiful marina and yacht club within the neighborhood offering social activities upscale dining, a pool, and tennis courts.
It is a very private neighborhood which consist of only single family residences with no condos, duplexes or villas.
